Xur, the Exotic item merchant who visits Destiny every week, is found in various locations all over Destiny. Xur’s inventory this week consists of the following:

• Sunshot, Solar hand gun: 29 Legendary Shards
• Lucky pants and Hunter legs: 23 Legendary Shards
• Doom Fang Pauldron, Titan gauntlets – 23 Legendary Shards
• Skull Of Dire Ahamkara Warlock Helm: 23 Legendary Shards
• Exotic Engram: You can purchase an additional Exotic Cipher to get a second one.
• Exotic Cipher quest: free

Season of the Risen The Witch Queen, Xur sells a random roll of both Hawkmoon and Dead Man’s Tale each week.

Here’s what he’s selling this weekend:

• Hawkmoon Kinetic hand cannon (“Eye of the Storm”): 125,000 Glimmer; 200 Legendary Shards; Exotic Cipher. Ascendant Shard
• Dead Man’s Tale, Kinetic scout rifle (Vorpal): 125,000 Glimmer, 200 Legendary Shards, Exotic Cipher, Ascendant Shard

As of Season of the Lost, Xur also sells a collection of old armor and weapons — similar to Banshee-44 and Ada-1. These items are usually difficult to find as they come from past seasons. Every item, whether it’s armor or weapons, costs just 1,000 Glimmer and 50 Legendary Shards.

Xur’s Legendary inventory this week consists of the following:

Sunshot

Exotic hand cannon, Sunshot that causes Solar damage. Sunshot’s first Exotic perk is SunburnThe weapon will fire explosive shots and alert enemies that have taken damage. The secondary benefit is the ability to fire explosive rounds and highlight enemies that take damage. Sun BlastSunshot causes Sunshot enemies to explode.

Sunshot is one fun Exotic. Unfortunately, hand cannons aren’t in a great spot right now. Sunshot, if they return, will make a fantastic weapon for Strike or Public Event-focused loadsouts. If you don’t have one, get yourself a Sunshot this week.

Lucky Pants

Lucky PantsThey are pretty useless in almost all situations. Exotic PerkUnlawfully Modified HolsterIt allows you quickly to prepare your hand cannons, as well as increasing accuracy during the initial shot. Precision hits can partially reload any stored hand cannons. These boots can be used if you must have hand cannons for both energy and kinetic slots. Skip Lucky Pants.

Doom Fang Pauldron

Doom Fang Pauldron is pretty cool if you’re into the Sentinel Titan. Exotic perk. Horns of Doom, causes shield bash kills to quickly recharge your shield throw while you’re using your Super. Also, shield throw kills increase the length of your Super and melee ability deaths give you more Super energy. These arms make Sentinel Titans look great with the latest Void 3.0 update.

Skull of Dire ahamkara

The Skull Of Dire AhamkaraThe Warlock helmet will be on sale this week. It’s a pretty good exotic — although nerfed in Year 3 — and can be devastating when used properly. This exotic perk is also available. Actual Grandeur, causes you to take very low damage while casting Nova Bomb — and your Nova Bomb kills grant Super Energy instantly.

If you can accurately place your Nova Bomb in a large group of enemies — in PvE or even PvP — you will refund quite a bit of super energy. It’s a fantastic helmet if Voidwalker is your favorite game (especially since Void 3.0 has been added).

Exotic Cipher quest

Beginning in Beyond LightXur now has a quest to find an Exotic Cipher. An Exotic Cipher allows you to buy Exotics in an old form at the Monuments to Lost Light kiosk. You’ll need these items and some other currencies to pick up Exotics like Heir Apparent and Truth.

This week, Xur asks you to win Crucible and Gambit matches or complete 21 Strikes. By finishing the quest, you’ll earn an Exotic Cipher to use however you want.
