Destiny 2: Lightfall – ‘Strider’ quest steps to get Winterbite Exotic

Destiny 2’s LightfallExpand introduces an Exotic Weapon called Winterbite.

Stasis Heavy Glaive, Winterbite can shoot orbs and in turn freeze targets. You can unlock Winterbite by completing the “Strider” quest, which becomes available after you complete the LightfallCampaign to unlock the Hall of Heroes and complete three other quests – “Stargazer,” “Maelstrom,” and “Bluejay”. You’ll be shown around NeomunaAs you travel, complete new tasks like Partition and Terminal Overload.

Destiny 2: How to Get Winterbite and Strider Quest Steps

Once you complete the campaign and the “Stargazer,” “Maelstrom,” and “Bluejay” individual quests that follow, you’ll be able to start the “Strider” quest, the steps for which are outlined below as they appear in-game:

  1. Go to the Archivist.
  2. Spend keys to a Terminal Overload key chest in three areas within Neomuna
  3. For location data and a data cipher, you must defeat the Shadow Legion in Neomuna.
  4. Your findings will be discussed with the archivist.
  5. Approach Strider’s memorial to repair it.
  6. Destroy the Hydras and shut down the confluxes at Maya’s Retreat.
  7. An archiver has a reward waiting for you.

Winterbite will be yours once you’re done.

This quest is fairly straightforward and the combat isn’t too complicated. Terminal Overload can be difficult for a single person to perform. It is worth loading into the activity several times to find another group.

How to start ‘Strider’ in Destiny 2: Lightfall

In order to unlock the “Strider” quest from Quinn Laghari in the Hall of Heroes on Neomuna, you first must complete the campaign. The Hall of Heroes will be unlocked once you have completed the campaign. Once you unlock it, you’ll be able to speak with Quinn. They’ll have four different quests – “Stargazer,” “Maelstrom,” and “Bluejay”. You must complete these in order to unlock the “Strider” quest to unlock Winterbite.

‘Stargazer’ quest steps

Take the quest given by Quinn at the Hall of Heroes, and follow the next steps.

  1. The reward chest for Terminal Overload can be found at the end.
  2. You can defeat the Vex Hydra from Esi Terminal and get a high-security passcode.
  3. You can obtain a Terminal Override Key through public events, looting boxes, and patrols.
  4. You will need a key in order to unlock the Terminal Overload Key Chest.
  5. Return to a Hall of Heroes to repair Stargazer’s memorial.

‘Maelstrom’ quest steps

Complete the Stargazer quest after collecting the Quest from Quinn at the Hall of Heroes. Then, follow the steps below:

  1. All within the Vex Incursion Area, bond with Strand resources and join in on public events, patrols, or looting resources.
  2. You can complete the Lost Sector of the Vex Incursion Area.
  3. Return to the Hall of Heroes to repair Maelstrom’s memorial.

‘Bluejay’ quest steps

After completing the “Maelstrom” quest, collect the quest from Quinn in the Hall of Heroes and complete the following steps:

  1. Nimbus.
  2. You can defeat combatants within the Vex Incursion Zone using a Strand Subclass that is equipped with Shellcode Fragments. Open a Terminal Overload Key Chest for a Polymorphic Engine.
  3. Completion of the Partition Activity
  4. Return to the Hall of Heroes to repair Bluejay’s memorial.
  5. For further information, please contact Quinn.

Three different locations have Terminal Overload chests that can be spent keys

Now you have completed “Stargazer,” “Maelstrom,” and “Bluejay”, you can start “Strider”. First, spend keys on three Neomuna Terminal Overload Key Chests.

Every day the terminal overload activity is performed in each of three combatant-filled areas on Neomuna. To unlock the chest and continue the quest, complete this activity in all three zones.

To locate location data, defeat the Shadow Legion in Neomuna and enter the Ahimsa Park Lost Sector

You must finish the Gilded Precept Lost Sector, Ahimsa Park for this step. The Shadow Legion Cabal is the enemy in this Lost Sector, and you should only run it once to complete both quest steps.

Destroy the Hydras and shut down the confluxes at Maya’s Retreat

Head to Maya’s Retreat and defeat the Vex Hydras. You will find a different conflux for each Hydra you defeat. Once you’ve scanned all of the confluxes, head back to Quinn for your reward, the Winterbite Exotic Glaive.
