Destiny 2 is bringing back Cayde for The Final Shape DLC

Cayde-6 the Exo Hunter, who was loved by many Exo Hunters of the time, is still alive. Bungie revealed Wednesday at Sony’s PlayStation Showcase that Cayde will return, somehow, for the next Destiny 2 expansion, The final shape.

A teaser trailer shows Ikora Rey, Vanguard of the Warlocks, chatting with Cayde — or Cayde’s ghost? — and lamenting that he’s missed some pretty big Destiny stuff over the past few years. Cayde checked into Destiny 2, a sequel to the popular Destiny 1. in 2018, and despite a pledge that the Exo wouldn’t return, he sure seems like he’s back.

Bungie has promised to provide more information at an upcoming showcase. Bungie plans to unveil new details on August 22. The final shape, pitched as the conclusion to Destiny’s 10-year Light & Darkness Saga.

Another big announcement is also coming from the PlayStation studio: MarathonThis is the much-older franchise’s revival, a new extraction shooter.
