Destiny 2 getting Looking-For-Group feature and loadouts next year

Destiny 2 has always been a social game, but finding a Fireteam isn’t always easy unless you have a set group of friends to play with. Bungie now offers a Look-For-Group function for single players. Destiny 2The developer revealed that it will begin next year during its Destiny 2The Showcase 2022 livestream. Bungie has added several features to the game that will help new players like a loadout system or Guardian Ranks which rewards players for doing specific activities.

Destiny 2’s LFG system will let players matchmake for specific events and types of content depending on their skill and experience levels. Bungie says that the system is still being built at the moment, but when it’s released it will allow players to look for their groups as well as match up with pre-made teams that need to fill a few spots. Players will be able to indicate if they’re looking for support in difficult content or an experienced raider willing to assist a novice.

Bungie has added a Commendations function to ensure that all members of their groups are on the best behaviour. Players can rate LFG friends based on a number of traits such as how much fun they had, how well they allied with them, their game mastery, and leadership. You can view your Commendations profile to see the ones you have earned.

Bungie’s new Guardian Ranks system will allow players to display their ranks more clearly and help them gain experience. This is a knowledge-based rank that will progress players through 11 levels, each introducing them to Destiny’s core menus and mechanics. The idea behind Guardian Ranks is to give players a way to show off their mastery of the game, as well as to notify the players around them that they’re in the presence of a high-level expert player.

Finally, Destiny 2The loadouts will give the player a quality-of life upgrade. Players will be able to set up various mod and weapon combinations. Then, they can quickly swap them between depending on the activity.

The launch of all these systems is planned sometime between 2023 and 2024.
