The end of The Witch Queen campaign, players defeat Savathun, Mostly. While her body is dead, her Ghost — a prickly ass named Immaru — seemingly disappeared in the Traveler’s Light, and nobody knows where he is. Savathun is technically considered a Guardian. This puts him in an uncertain state. She could be resurrected as quickly as any Guardian if Immaru finds her, even if he is beaten to pieces by players in the future expansions or seasons.
The Witch Queen’s parting moments before her death, she warns Guardians that they’re on their own now — that something bigger and far worse is coming. Then Destiny 2The Witness gives the first glimpse to players.

The Witness, who is known by many different names in the series, walks out from a portal to make a speech towards the Traveler. With their faces facing the camera and a long cloak hanging behind, they float, smoke rising from their heads.

It’s an extremely cool cutscene and silhouette, and then they turn around. The Witness has large round heads and is pale. The Witness’ eyes look alien and have one dark line across their eyebrows that extends up to their hairline. It is split in two: Megamind or Destiny villain Megamind.
Both are correct:
It’s amazing that Dreamworks and Bungie worked together to ensure Megamind’s second installment was compatible with the Destiny timeline.

Megamind is the Destiny Tweet.
Know what you do not know.

Although The Witness looks a bit silly on screen, it is much more impressive when they are moving.
Witness is a big deal with a capital B.Destiny 2. They’re the Traveler’s greatest enemy, leader of the Darkness, and also a potential ally, gifting players Stasis in Beyond Light. There’s a lot of different places they could take the character, and Guardians still know very little about them.
HoweverThe Witch QueenGuardians will be seeing more of this new villain or potential friend in the future. This teaser only provides players with a small glimpse of what the baddie is. Lightfall And Final Form Expansions are likely to be made in 2023, 2024.
