Deep Rock Galactic has a new season with a robot nemesis

Deep Rock GalacticThe game takes the action and excitement of Left 4 Dead’s four-player cooperative shooter, but adds tons of sci-fi gadgets. It’s a group of space-mining dwarves that the players play as. The team must work together to complete the tasks they are assigned. The game’s next season, called Rival Escalation, adds a terrifying new murder robot, new secondary weapons for each class, and an update to the game’s cosmetic system.

It is the action Deep Rock GalacticHoxxes IV is the setting for this adventure. It’s a richly populated planet with many valuable minerals and loot. Unfortunately for the players, it’s also full of hordes of hostile bugs and deadly robots. Rival Escalation adds a new, lethal nemesis robot that will show up to hunt down the dwarves — and if you get too close, you’re liable to get snatched up by its claws.

Dwarven miners have the option to choose one of four classes that are suited for their abilities. They also have additional firepower at their disposal, which allows them to be more creative in their play. The new tools are available to all classes. For instance, Drillers now have a wave cook that microwaves enemies. Gunners can use a new gun with a powerful coil that blasts through solid rock. Drillers, on the other hand, have a weapon that is capable of destroying hardrock. Each weapon comes with an upgrade tree and cosmetics so that players can match, match, or tweak the details to make their own combat system.

Developer Ghost Ship Games has carefully designed the game’s DLC and cosmetics to be relatively rewarding and avoid FOMO. The Robot Rebellion DLC Pack can be purchased to get a variety of armour scavenged by the enemies in season 1. A new currency, Phazyonite can also be obtained in the mines. You can advance in Cosmetic Mastery levels to make the shop accept Phazyonite.

There’s also a season pass; players can take part in any mission to level up the season pass and unlock special cosmetics or bonus items. If you missed season 1, players can still get the items by using cargo crates, packs and the shop. Season 2: Rival Escalation launches April 28th on Steam and May 5th for Xbox and PlayStation.
