December Xbox Games With Gold Lineup Includes The Escapists 2, Tropico 5, And More

Xbox announced its Xbox Games With Gold lineup for December. It includes 2 Xbox One and 2 older-generation games. 

This month, there are four games up for grabs. The Escapists 2 is on Xbox One; Tropico 5 Penultimate Edition (Xbox One); Orcs must Die on Xbox 360; and Insanelytwisted Shadow Planet (Xbox 360). Of course, thanks to Xbox’s backward compatibility features, anyone with an Xbox Series X/S or Xbox One can download and play all four of these games. 

Escapists 2 is about, well… escaping. Up to 3 friends and you can work together to free yourself from the most difficult prisons around the globe. You can follow the rules and learn the routines to help you find the best places to escape. Tropico 5: The Penultimate Edition contains the full base game for the sim island domination, but includes The Big Cheese and Hostile Takeover. In this game, you can simulate the growth of an island from an early colonial period to beyond the 21st Century, and you’ll be tasked with creating trade routes, building a city’s infrastructure, and more as you attempt to rise to the top. Tropico 5, Penultimate Edition is worth $24.99, and you can download it from December 16th to January 15th. Representing the first in a series that has spawned multiple sequels, you’ll be able to experience the franchise’s start beginning December 1 through December 15. Insanely Twisted shadow planet is the last free game of the month. In this 2D action-adventure game, you’ll explore unique environments while attempting to reach the center of the mysterious Shadow Planet. You’ll need to find the answers and fight aliens from December 16-31. This is a $9.99 value game.
