DeathVerse: Let It Die will launch a limited open beta later this month
Today, Supertrick Games and GungHo Online Entertainment announced that the developer of Supertrick Games will host the inaugural limited-time beta. DeathVerse: It’s Time to Let It Go, the multiplayer survival action game follow-up to 2016’s It’s time to let it dieThe deadline is May 28.
PlayStation 4 (and PlayStation 5) players can pre-download this software DeathVerseBeta available on the PlayStation Store from Wednesday. Players in different regions or languages will have access to the beta.
Set hundreds of decades after the events It’s time to let it die, DeathVerse: It’s Time to Let It GoThe 16 player survival battle arena will see players competing against each other in an exciting reality TV show called Death Jamboree. A personal robot companion called Wilson will enable players to use it against computer-controlled opponents. They can then transform Wilson into one or more of five types of weapon, such as machetes, buzzsaws or katanas.
DeathVerse: It’s Time to Let It Go introduces some intriguing twists on the battle royale genre, introducing reactive battlefields with regions that become hazardous to players’ health and debuff the effectiveness of their attacks; deadly NPC opponents such as Cryptids and Hunters (think 4 Left Dead’s Special Infected) that roam the arena attacking players on sight; and materials that can be used to modify your abilities to boost your chances for survival.
Glory points can be used to increase your attack power by players who defeat enemies (other players, Cryptids). Killing Brands can be used to collect Glory Points. These are given out when Hunters kill a rival. Watch out though — if you’re not careful, you might run risk of being killed yourself.
DeathVerse: Let It Die’sOpen beta will begin May 28, and last from 1-7 PM PDT. A second beta launch is planned for June 5, which will run from 1-6 AM PDT.
