Deathloop launches day-and-date on Xbox Game Pass in September

DeathloopMicrosoft has announced that ‘The Ex-Playstation 5 Exclusive by Arkane Studios and Bethesda Softworks, will Launch Sept. 20th for Xbox Series X. It will also be available to Xbox Game Pass Subscribers the same date.

For one year, the first-person, stylish action/adventure was exclusive to PlayStation (and Windows PC). This exclusivity window is now closed. DeathloopXbox Game Pass is available for free.

Xbox Wire stated that Microsoft would release the Xbox in December. Deathloop “comes with all updates released for the game since its launch, so players can look forward to photomode, additional accessibility options, cross-play matchmaking, and a host of quality-of-life fixes.” Arkane will also release the Goldenloop update for the game, which will add a new weapon, “a powerful new ability,” new enemy types, and an extended ending.

Sony is already beating Microsoft. Deathloop in the library of titles available to subscribers of PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, that platform’s competing subscription service (which launched in June). Deathloop They will have access starting Sept. 6.

Deathloop The project was a huge success. It received numerous nominations at major awards shows over the last year. The Game Awards 2021 awarded it Best Game Direction and Best Artist Direction. The DICE Awards awarded it Outstanding Achievement in Games Direction in February.

Arkane Lyon began work on Deathloop before Microsoft bought the studio’s parent, Bethesda Softworks, in September 2020. Bethesda delivered another pre-buyout PlayStation 5 exclusive, Tango Gameworks’ Ghostwire TokyoThis was back in March. This is also a 1-year-old exclusive.
