Deadpool’s joining forces with Wolverine for his first MCU movie

Deadpool officially joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe Deadpool 3On Tuesday, a teaser clip was uploaded to the website. Ryan Reynolds (Wade Wilson) released the video. It was more of a teaser rather than a full trailer. Reynolds revealed that Reynolds was right. Deadpool 3The film is already in development, but it’s more important that Hugh Jackman will reprise his role as Wolverine. Release date for the film was set for Sept. 6, 2024.

In the clip, Reynolds explains that they’ve been working on the film for a long time now, but that they’re fresh out of ideas on how to revive the mercenary for the MCU. But they do have one trick up their sleeve, Reynolds says, and that’s when Hugh Jackman walks by in the background. Reynolds immediately invites Jackman back to his famous role. After that, the video cuts to the Deadpool logo. The familiar three-claw Slash is right in the middle.

The Merc with a Mouth might be joining Disney’s big MCU tent, but don’t expect Ryan Reynolds’ character to get the Disney treatment. In January 2021, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige stated that Reynolds was in charge of a script for a R-rated movie written by Wendy Molyneux (and Lizzy Molyneux Loeglin)Bob’s Burgers). Shawn Levy, who also directed Reynolds’ One Guy Free It is 2021. Deadpool 3.

In a nearly two-decade-old deal, Deadpool was licensed to 20th Century Fox along with The X-Men (and The Fantastic Four). Disney’s acquisition of 21st Century Fox meant those heroes and their super-teams could now join the cinematic universe Disney has administered since 2009.

Deadpool 3’s development apparently predates the Fox-Disney deal, which closed in early 2019. This is the first DeadpoolIt was first shown in 2016, and then followed up by Deadpool 2Both were commercial and critical successes in 2018. Reynolds suggested, in 2018, that Disney’s acquisition had placed at risk a third movie.
