Dead Space Remake: Plasma Cutter And Pulse Rifle Sounds Changed After Fan Feedback

EA revealed that the company was currently working to remake Dead Space in 2021. sharing details about zero loading screens and how it is learning from past mistakes. Motive Studios shared more information via special behind-the scenes live streams. One of these was last month and focused on the audio for the remake.

Motive showcased new gameplay to highlight some of the audio changes it’s made in the remake so far, specifically regarding the famed Plasma Cutter and Pulse Rifle weapons. Motive seems to have taken the suggestions and feedback of other fans and modified the weapon sounds during the stream.

Motive has made the Plasma Cutter, and Pulse Rifle more powerful. As can be seen in the tweet above. They sound deeper and focussed than they did during March Livestream. Listen to these sounds in Dead Space. You can hear how they sound during March’s stream and now. video, and the changes are quite stark for those tuned into the remake’s audio.

Of course, these changes aren’t final, and it wouldn’t be surprising if Motive listens to feedback on the new audio to modify the weapon sounds further. The next time we’ll see more of this Dead Space remake will be during a special stream next month, focused on its visuals.

You can check out Dead Space’s latest gameplay footage, then learn about what the team is doing to improve from the mistakes of the past.
