Dead Cells Update Adds Outfits And Weapons From Hollow Knight, Guacamelee, And More

Dead Cells’ 26th update is assembling the best and brightest of the indie action adventure genre. Everyone Is Here adds familiar faces, as well as their weapons to play in-game, from Hollow Knight and Guacamelee.

The free update, which is now available on PC and comes consoles later this year, lets players don the costumes of the protagonists from Hollow Knight, Hyper Light Drifter, Blasphemous, Guacamelee!, Skul: The Hero Slayer, and Curse of the Dead Gods. Better yet, you’ll wield the weapons/ability of each character. They control largely as you’ll remember them but have a Dead Cells twist. Below, Motion Twin has listed the stats and functionality of each weapon.

Hollow Knight – Pure Nail:Attack upward or downward. When you attack downward from airborne, your enemies will bounce at you and cause serious damage.

Blasphemous – Face Flask:Place a flask on the forehead and you will be able to recover 35 percent your lost health.

Hyper Light Drifter – Gun & Sword:While the gun marks targets, it also deals damage. Critical damage is done to marked targets by the sword, which increases with increasing gun marks. Also, sword hits can recharge gun ammo. It doesn’t charge passively.

Guacamelee! – Pollo Power:You can transform into an egg-throwing chicken in a matter of seconds and then fire off several explosion eggs all around you.

Skul: The Hero Slayer BoneUse a bone club to smash enemies. The second attack allows for a powerful whirlwind attack, which deals significant damage to your enemies.

Curse of the Dead Gods – Machete & Pistol:Use a machete to slash the victim twice. You can also use the pistol for a third attack, which causes critical damage to any nearby enemies. Pressing the attack button will activate a ranged, powerful attack that is slow and effective.

To access the new content, you’ll need to complete the challenges from a new book at the start of the game. Each completed challenge unlocks a new character. Lore Rooms are a new part of the game that houses weapons and skills.
