Dead Cells And Castlevania Crossover In Upcoming DLC

Dead Cells will soon receive an official Castlevania DLC crossover, Dead Cells: Return To Castlevania. This was announced during The Game Awards Pre-show. A short animated trailer was used to announce the news. 

The trailer showed no gameplay footage and didn’t give any details about the DLC. Given that Dead Cells is an Indie Roguelite in Castlevania style, it’s likely the main formula will stay the same. You can find more information on the Steam page. The gateway to the castle’s impressive exterior has appeared and Richter, an intimidating warrior asks for your help to defeat it. Attracted by the prospect of new loot, rather than any sense of moral responsibility, you set out to kill the mysterious Dracula.

 Additionally, the Steam page boats 51 classic Castlevania songs, 12 newly reimagined tracks, and a brand-new storyline. The game will take place in a Dracula-themed castle. It features 14 Castlevania weapons that can be used to defeat bosses and 20 Outfits from Sypha Belnades, Trevor Belmont and Sylucard Belmont.

Return to Castlevania was not released at a specific time, however it is likely that it will be available sometime in “Q1” 2023. The game will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
