Dead by Daylight is heading to space with a new sci-fi chapter

Dead by Daylight is turning seven years old, and it’s been a great few years of horror crossovers, grisly murders, and a detour for some spooky smooching. There are many different types of murderers in the game, from high-tech CEOs to ancient knights from long ago. The game’s next original chapter is going way, way into the future. End Transmission has a new map, killer, and survivor — and it’s out of this world.

Gabriel Soma has become the latest survivor. A technician, Gabriel is the sole survivor from his entire crew. It looks like he’d have a lot to commiserate over with Dead Space’s Isaac Clarke, if the two ever met. Soma’s crew were murdered by a creature called the Singularity, who also serves as the game’s new killer. The Singularity is an amalgamation of organic material (presumably that crew mentioned above) and machine components.

End Transmission has a new map, Toba Landing. This is the planet that Soma visited to meet the Singularity. The alien biome has a strange flora, fauna and climatology, making it stand out amongst the Earth-based maps.

Behaviour’s anniversary stream announced End Transmission. Behaviour Interactive will be releasing four new Chapters for the game over the course of next year. Dead by DaylightThere will be the standard combination of map, survivor, and killer. There will only be two chapters dedicated to Survivor. Nicolas Cage — yes, as in the actor, not one of his characters — will arrive after End Transmission, then two licensed killers from other horror IPs will enter the arena, followed by another survivor. One more chapter will be released before the 8th anniversary.

The End Transmission game will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox on the 13th of June.
