Itn The Multiverse: What is it?You play the role of an unknown child who meets Everett. He is an eccentric, sarcastic scientist, from another dimension, with the ability jump between dimensions. You’ll embark on a journey with him, discovering twisted realities in your way, escaping from a colorful cast of characters in their mission to capture you, all while getting to know Everett’s mysterious past and motivations. It’s a journey of discovery, filled with absurd and dark humor, existential questions, and relatable characters from all around.

At its core, it’s a pixel art puzzle/platformer game where you switch between different universes (which act as different versions of the level in which you are) to solve puzzles and progress through the story. All kinds of universes are possible! Frozen: The ice can make your steps slippery, allowing you to run amazingly long distances. Ones that are poisoned. You can’t stay for very long in these without running out. You can also find inverted versions, which have everything upside down. All of these have different aesthetics. They vary by theme, mechanics. narrative and even music. There’s a whole multiverse to explore in this little adventure. The narrative also includes worldbuilding, which is optional for more curious players. What is the point of these universes? Who are these people and what is their fate? What is it that a grandma, a warrior grandmother, has to fight a hoard of yellow-eyed Zombies? You may find abandoned items from different worlds that you can use to explore the story or satisfy your collector instincts.

It’s a fun little adventure full of surprises, and we’re incredibly excited (and nervous!) What Lies in The Multiverse is an adventure-driven 2D game that can be called a dramatic comedy. The narrative is filled with funny, cartoonish hijinks and presents mature themes such as death, envy and obsession.
