Crunchyroll is now on Nintendo Switch
While the Nintendo Switch has been an absolute boon for indie games and ports of incredible Wii U titles no one knew existed, it’s weirdly lagged behind its console brethren in streaming apps. It is hard to find a Netflix application on the Switch, which means that Switch owners with more specific tastes, such as Formula 1 and Tubi, will not be able to access it.
Crunchyroll has arrived to Nintendo Switch, making it a great time for anime fans. Crunchyroll is the best streaming service in anime and named after food.
Crunchyroll offers four different tiers of its service. First, users have access to a selection of popular episodes ad-supported with an account. Then there’s Crunchyroll Premium, which gives subscribers ad-free access to the complete Crunchyroll library and various other benefits in three other tiers: Fan, Mega Fan, and Ultimate Fan. Subscribers at Mega Fan and Ultimate Fan subscription levels will be able download episodes to view offline, similar to Crunchyroll’s mobile app.
Crunchyroll is free to download from the Nintendo Switch eShop. For $7.99/month, premium subscriptions are available.
