Critical Role animated series will premiere earlier than expected
Legend of Vox MachinaCritical Role’s animated series “Earth” will be released one week early than originally planned on Jan. 28, 2022. Amazon Prime Video had originally set the series for release on February 4, 2022. A new clip is included above with the announcement.
Legend of Vox Machina Cartoon was born as a Kickstarter campaign. It raised more than $11,000,000 on Kickstarter in 2019, raising over $11 million. The Critical Role troupe — voice actors Laura Bailey, Taliesin Jaffe, Ashley Johnson, Liam O’Brien, Matthew Mercer, Marisha Ray, Sam Riegel, and Tavis Willingham — are all starring in the animated series. They’re also listed as executive producers, alongside Brandon Auman (Star Wars ResistanceChris Prynoski (Metalocalypse). Amazon Prime Video will also be getting a second season.
There are many more items that Critical Role is working on for their fans. A new campaign book, which has been revised and launched just months ago, is also in the works. Tal Dorei Campaign Setting RebornThis title is self-published and will be available on January 18. There’s also an officially licensed Dungeons & Dragons book, published by Wizards of the Coast, titled Call of the Netherdeep: Critical role. The book will be made available in-stores and online on March 15, 2022.
