Crash Team Rumble: Breaking Down All the New Activities in Season 2’s Party Mode

It’s time to gather your friends and crash the party! Today is the release date for Season 2. Crash Team RumbleThe all-new co-op Party Mode for four players is included. Test your teamwork and platforming abilities in five mini-games, all with unique challenges and dangers.  

Watch out for clocks on the map. They will give your team more time to reach their goal. Collecting these clocks is critical, as when the timer hits zero, it’s game over for your whole team. Search for Boss Tokens that are hidden in each level. The Boss Wave is a difficult, hidden challenge which can only be mastered by highly skilled players. The ultimate Crash challenge is a race against time to defeat the boss waves and complete all your tasks. 

Speed Run allows you to dash, jump and run through Tiki Towers. 

Speed Run is a game where players race against the clock while sprinting through the speed pads that are scattered across the map. Crash veterans will enjoy this title, which relies heavily on tight platforming and precision jumping. Players will encounter obstacles as they clear waves, increasing the difficulty of the course. The challenge is further heightened by bumpers that can knock the player off their course, nitro-crates which cause knockouts, and dangerous jumps over open water. The importance of teamwork in achieving the fastest times and high scores is not to be underestimated. A tether connects each hero to the other, increasing their speed. If you are too far from your teammates, the tether may break. It is important to stay close with the group to move more quickly. 

The Speed Run boss waves are unlocked by collecting all boss tokens scattered along the track and finishing each wave. Players will then face the evil Uka Uka. Players can use rockets to damage Uka Uka by firing them from the scattered track. Between the bumpers, nitro crates, and Uka Uka’s meteor attacks, it’s a dangerous race to the finish! 

Cook up a storm in What’s Cookin’? 

Players must gather ingredients from all over the map and place them in a large pot which rotates. Every wave has a different recipe and new ingredients. Your team must coordinate what they gather while collecting clocks in order to extend your time. Complete all recipes, and collect the boss tokens, and you’ll unlock the boss wave featuring the giant wumpa bat! In the boss waves, instead of ingredients, the players must collect dynamite and then use it to destroy the giant wumpa that is trying to ruin their stew. To clear the boss wave, aim carefully and stay away from smaller bats. 

Get Lit! is a great place to find candles and lanterns. 

Players have a floating lantern above their heads that can be used for lighting the tower. Your team must ascend to the top of the tower and light each candle before time expires. Take care, however, as the candles won’t last forever! If a player’s candle burns out, they’ll need to return to the base of the tower to re-light it or rely on a teammate to light your candle with theirs. Keeping an eye on your team to make sure you can lend a helping hand will benefit the entire squad, as you’ll need to light every lantern to clear the wave. As the waves become more difficult, it will require multiple players to illuminate some lanterns, which makes teamwork all the more crucial. 

The boss wave will begin when you have collected enough tokens. You can use your candles to ignite rockets which will damage dragons. 

Dig it to find hidden treasure 

Don your archeologist’s gear and search for fossils in the soil! Use a bone-detecting device to search the map for skeleton parts. The skeleton is completed once all the bones are collected and brought to the middle of the map. Some bones are heavier than others and require multiple players to carry, so you won’t be able to clear this round without proper teamwork. 

Once you have collected enough tokens for each boss, the boss level will unlock, including a massive lava pit. You’ll need to uncover the skeleton while dodging lava hazards and coordinating precise jumps with your team. 

Balloon bounce is the perfect way to take off into the sky. 

Balloon Bounce is the final Party Mode game that you can try out this weekend. It will be permanently unlocked later in Season 2, but only for a limited time. Jump high in the air and bounce over a wide variety of balloons for points. Each wave can be cleared by focusing on a specific type of balloon. Make sure not to pop each other’s balloons, as missing a jump and falling back to the ground will waste a lot of time. 

The appearance of Nitros Oxide with his UFO is unlocked by collecting the floating boss tokens. Rocket balloons will deal damage to the spacecraft, but Oxide won’t make things easy for your team, as he launches mines making staying alive a lot harder.  

The Season 2 and all Party Mode rounds are now live! There’s even more to come during Season 2, with new maps, a new power, and the fiendish Ripto from the Spyro the Dragon Universe all joining the party. S & Xbox One users can jump online.|S and Xbox One.
