Counter-Strike 2 Is Real And It’s Out This Summer
Valve revealed Counter-Strike 2 this week.
Although an official release date has not been announced, Valve states that Counter-Strike 2 is available as a free upgrade for anyone who owns Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. You can also jump in to a test version of Counter-Strike 2 if Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is installed. Valve states that it will be testing a small number of features during this period to eliminate any potential issues prior to the global release.
Company also stated that Counter-Strike 2 was the biggest technical breakthrough in Counter-Strike’s history. This will guarantee new features for many years.
Valve also released Counter-Strike 2 gameplay videos today. All three videos are available below.
Counter-Strike 2 runs in Source 2’s engine. This engine has rendering tools that “allow community mapmakers to create, test, and iterate more easily.” A Source 2 Item Workshop will also be made available during Counter-Strike 2’s limited testing.
