Cocoon Is A New Game From Inside And Limbo Designer

The Xbox showcases some of the best indies every year. This is a tradition that Xbox has had for a long time. Today, at the Summer Game Fest event on Xbox Live, we saw a brand new project created by Limbo and Inside Lead Designer Jeppe Carlsen.

Annapurna Interactive will be publishing Cocoon next month. It promises to deliver a unique experience and an engaging art style. Creators say that the game will take you on “an adventure across worlds within realms”, which they represent with unusual glowing orbs. A stylized, sweeping shot of a desert landscape is shown in the clip. Soon, a white beam of light blinds them. Our hero pops out of a mechanical-looking cacoon energized by the laser and appears to be a kind of beetle. The majority of the footage shows it grasping and spreading globes with different colors. It may be able to hop to new locations. Although there isn’t much to see in this trailer, it seems intriguing. 

Cocoon will be available on Xbox consoles through Game Pass sometime in 2023. According to the trailer, fans are encouraged to prepare to master world-leaping mechanisms to solve a cosmic mystery.
