Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition Coming To Switch

The original Chrono cross has been hailed by many as being one of the best role-playing games ever made. Its unique characters and captivating dimension-hopping story made it an unforgettable game even after being released in 1999. The fondness players have for the series hasn’t been lost on those who hold its rights, as Square Enix has just announced that a remaster, entitled Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition, is on the way to the Nintendo Switch.

And whether you played the original and can’t wait to play an updated version, or you’re looking forward to enjoying Serge’s adventure for the first time, you won’t have long to wait. On April 7, the remastered RPG will be available.

Chrono Cross is a sequel to the original game. It will have the Element magic system and consumables. In which the players use elemental powers to take down their enemies, And you’ll still follow along with Serge, Lynx, and more than 40 memorable playable characters along a mind-twisting story that spans multiple dimensions and timelines. You decide the ending of the story by how you choose and recruit characters.

However, the improved graphical presentation immediately makes the PlayStation 2 a better choice. You can also turn off enemies encounters and enjoy a new soundtrack.

Long-time fans will be particularly interested in the Radical Dreamers story. It was released originally on Satellaview, a peripheral satellite modem for the Super Famicom. This text-based adventure is a great way to establish the characters and world of the bigger Chrono Cross game.
