Check Out The Gameplay Reveal Of Pokémon Scarlet And Violet’s DLC

Last February, Game Freak revealed that Pokémon Scarlet and Violet had DLC in the works, but all we got to show for it was a few pieces of concept art and static images of new Pokémon. Nintendo Direct changed all that today, as it showed the first ever in-game footage. Below you can see it yourself.

Titled “The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero,” this DLC comes in two waves. The Teal Mask should be available this fall. The Indigo Disk is due this winter. As soon as you start the treasure hunt – which occurs a few minutes into the game – the first expansion is available. The Indigo Disk, on the other hand, will require that you complete both the main storyline and the previous extension.

The Teal Mask is the first expansion, and it will take trainers into the world of Kitakami. This area is completely different from Paldea, where they are born. This adventure is set during a festival. The players are tasked to unravel mysteries that relate to the folklore of their locality. The Indigo Disk is the second part of The Indigo Disk. It takes place in Blueberry Academy. This school is similar to Naranja Academy and Uva Academy. As an exchange student, you’ll get to take classes, interact with students, and participate in the school’s battle-focused curriculum.

While the trailers didn’t provide any major new announcements, we got another look at Pokémon we already knew about, like Okidogi Munkidori and Terapagos appear in The Indigo Disk and The Teal Mask. The DLC exclusive Carmine and Kieran characters also get a new look.

The Teal Mask and Indigo Disk are still scheduled to be released in the Fall.
