Check Out Slitterhead, The New Game From Silent Hill’s Creator

Bokeh Game studio, the brand new independent development firm headed by Keiichiro Tokyo Toyama from Silent Hill, has finally released its first project, Slitterhead. It will be presented tonight at The Game Awards. Predictably, it’s grotesque.

Trailer opens with a man running down an ordinary city street before running into another woman. We are given our first glimpse of what appears to be a Slitterhead shortly after the woman’s eyes open. Her body transforms into a monstrous skeletal monster. The bizarre scene continues with a series of strange scenes, which include police officers being cut in half by similar skeletal creatures, men in motorcycle helmets conjuring blood to make swords, and another man falling from the sky in his pajamas. We end on a shot of a densely-packed apartment complex as a plane flies closely overhead, before zooming in on an older woman whose face has torn open – much like the others – though this time it shuts, leaving the woman looking normal.

You can see the trailer in full below.

Apart from the footage in trailer, there isn’t much else we know about Slitterhead other than what Toyama has said in interviews. In June it was. It was publishedToyama was working on an option-driven game. In December 2020, Toyama told IGN JapanHis next project, ostensibly the one he is currently working on, would release in 2023.
