Cat Suit Mario, Donkey Kong Make An Appearance In New Super Mario Bros. Movie Teaser

Nintendo and Illumination release a teaser which reveals Mario’s cat suit and more about Seth Rogen’s Donkey Kong. 

This teaser was released during yesterday’s NFL game. It is very short, and it contains 10 seconds of footage from The Super Mario Bros. Movie. The movie hits theatres April 7. We see Donkey Kong start to pummel Mario. It’s a clip that we’ve already seen, but before Mario hit a yellow “?” block. It gives Mario the cat suit powerup. While it is helpful in the game it doesn’t seem to work here. Rogen’s Donkey Kong makes fun of Mario’s reliance upon it.

This is the best Donkey Kong dialogue that we’ve seen in teasers for The Super Mario Bros. Movie. It also reveals that Rogen is essentially just himself, with his trademark laugh. We love this clip and can’t wait to see the movie in theaters on April 7.
