Castlevania Nocturne gets Netflix release date, watch the first trailer

It’s been over a year since we last heard about Castlevania: NocturneThe highly anticipated sequel to Powerhouse Animation Studios’ original Netflix animated series. The good news is that you won’t have to wait much longer, as Netflix has shared a new trailer for the sequel series, which is slated to premiere in September.

The story begins in 1792. Castlevania: NocturneIt centers around Richter Belmont. Richter is the only living descendant from Trevor Belmont who was in love with Sypha. Richter is recruited to fight a Vampire Messiah, who will plunge Earth in eternal night during the French Revolution. The trailer show no signs of Dracula or his half-human son Alucard, but there’s a ton of flashy fight scenes and vampiric adversaries in masquerade masks and powdered wigs.

The series, which will adapt events and characters first introduced in 1993’s Rondo of Blood, Castlevania and 1997’s Castlevania Symphony of the NightClive Bradley will write the book.TrappedPowerhouse Animation Studios is responsible for animation. Sam Deats and Adam Deats will return as the directors.

Castlevania: NocturneThe premiere of the new Netflix series will be on September 28.
