Cards Against Humanity will be donating new pack profits to abortion funds

Cards Against Humanity announced Wednesday that all profits of 22 states will be donated to the National Network of Abortion Funds. Some governments have banned, limited, or are likely to restrict abortion access. This move is less than a month following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the Constitution right of abortion in America.

With the same edgy style it is known for, the company announced its news. “Your state sucks,” the head of the website starts with said in all white, bold text. “Today, we are releasing some new packs,” the website said. “But while the packs were being printed, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, and your state immediately turned itself into a dystopian forced-birth hellscape.”

You can purchase Cards Against Humanity cards in any of the following states. All proceeds, including the sale of new packs, go towards supporting the National Network of Abortion Funds.

The website also has a complete list of the new packs. The options include a Scary Pack with cards about sex gremlins and serial killers, a Written by Kids Pack with cards written by “actual children,” a Picture Card Pack, and a new version of the Climate Catastrophe Pack, if you want to lean into the doom and gloom even more. This isn’t the first time the company has gotten political. To help voters vote in five states, the company offered free expansions for registered voters in 2018.

Although the company is known for its cheeky voices, it has made many changes since 2011. Following allegations by workers that Max Temkin fostered a racist and sexist workplace culture, Max Temkin was fired in 2020.
