Capcom Is Teasing Something With A Countdown And Some Speculate It’s Related To Resident Evil

Capcom gamers have enjoyed some amazing games in recent months. Capcom’s games have been a great choice for Capcom fans, whether it be Resident Evil 3D remakes or new entries to the horror series. The company now offers something for fans to do: gaze at the mysterious countdown.

Perhaps as a Valentine’s Day surprise, Capcom tweeted out a random link today and upon clicking it, you’re brought to a relatively blank screen that features a countdown both in days and in hours. At first glance, it’s not really teasing anything, except the inescapable loss of time that will soon come for us all one day. Upon closer examination, many fans noticed that it is very similar to Capcom’s Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil Village fonts.

Now, don’t get too excited about Resident Evil 9 or whatever it ends up being called – there’s virtually no way Capcom is announcing that at the end of this countdown. Village was only released in 2012, while Capcom has stated that Village DLC will be coming soon. With that said, it wouldn’t be surprising if DLC awaits us on the other end of this countdown.

It could also be the highly-rumored Resident Evil 4 sequel. It would be great to use a lengthy countdown, such as the current six-day one to generate hype about it. Especially if Capcom continues to tease as the countdown gets closer to zero. If you’re not convinced that this is related to Capcom’s Resident Evil franchise, there’s also this:
