Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Tactical Guide – New Features, DMZ, and More

Circle Collapse: Some games will allow the Circle Collapse to behave normal. One circle can close in multiple stages, while others may be normal. Some games allow the Circle Collapse to split into several circles. In some cases, it can even be three. It can occur at any point between the initial and last two collapses.

The New Gulag: A Guide

Gulag II is a small, symmetrical arena designed for combat 2v2. Operators who are sent to the Gulag – upon first death in a Battle Royale before the final Circle Collapses – will be randomly paired up with another fallen Operator. Every player will get a loaded out with high-powered gear and weaponry placed in the middle.

The Overtime mechanic, which is not a central flag but a Jailer jumping down on the platform halfway through the Gulag match, replaces it. The Jailer is able to increase his health and has a Minigun. The match will resume if all four Gulag-entrants are eliminated by the Jailer, not the opposition.

DMZ 101

You will need to infiltrate Al Mazrah and complete all faction-based missions, contracts, side objectives, and then you’ll be out of sight before your death.

The match begins at random locations around Al Mazrah. The Backpack contains all the necessary items, including weapons, equipment and cash. You’ve got one life and dying results in the loss of all non-permanent items in your Backpack. Squadmates can revive each other, so don’t stray too far.

Backpack: Everything, except for weapons and equipment in active Loadouts, goes into the Backpack.

Exfiltrate: Transflate at any point during the match. You can call in a helicopter transport to specific locations. After all marked exfil locations are used, a final exfil point is revealed – this is the last means of escape before the match ends. Survive the trip, defend the location, then escape.

Get to know the Factions

The main goal of DMZ is to fulfill missions assigned to you by any one or more factions. You can complete these missions at your own pace, as they are chosen before each match. You can choose from the following factions:

Legion: Private military contractor. Operators can only accept work from this first faction. Legion wants to be a force in global conflicts, so the Soldiers who are part of them no longer exist.

White Lotus For years, White Lotus used Al Mazrah’s abundance of natural resources to help fuel its benefactors, who are rapidly expanding their public infrastructure projects both within and beyond its borders. Al Qatala’s attrition and the presence of other factions has led to a decrease in their presence.

The Black Mouth:Black Mous is an anonymous and decentralized group that hovers over the DMZ. The group’s three core tenets are: Don’t talk about Black Mous or reveal your identity; don’t attack the defenseless.

Contracts, world activities, and PvP

Operators have the option to participate in other activities inside the DMZ.

Contracts: Similar to Battle Royale’s Battle Royale, DMZ also has side objectives. These can be accepted in match for cash or additional rewards. You can contract for objectives such as Secure Intel and Geiger Search, Elimination. Hostage Rescue. Cargo Delivery.

Activities around the World

• Safes:They are full of money, but can be difficult to open. AI Combatants are attracted to the drill to open Safes. The sound is strong enough to attract enemy Operators’ attention.
• Websites of the SAM AssociationAnti-air turrets are capable of shooting down aircraft carrying valuable cargo.
• UAV TowersThese are located around Al Mazrah. Use the mini-map to get information about locations of Operators and AI Combatants.
• Hidden Caches:These sites, which are not marked on the maps, can be worth looking out in order to find valuable items drops.
• Strongholds:They are also available in Battle Royale. For more information, please see the Strongholds Overview.

You may find Al Mazrah parts that are not working properly due to two factors:

• Sandstorms:This is because a desert city can be impacted by these extreme conditions at any moment, which reduces visibility and causes damage to Operators.
• Radiation:Operators can be poisoned by this deadly condition. It can also be counteracted with Iodine Pills (a new Field Upgrade).

Assimilation and Enemy Operators

Although DMZ focuses primarily on the elimination of AI Combatants you might encounter Operators while traveling across Al Mazrah. Squads are able to assimilate and not fight in DMZ match matches.

The storage and permanence of items

Anything you extract from the DMZ – cash, weapons, and other items – are kept in Storage, which can be accessed at any time between matches in the pre-match lobby. Anything you take from Storage can be put into your Backpack, or activate Loadout to infiltrate the next match.

Concealed WeaponsContraband weapons are any weapon that is found in the DMZ. Weapons found around the map, on operators, or AI combatants are all considered contraband weapons. Extracting any Contraband weapon in DMZ unlocks it for all game modes.

Weapon Blueprints:You also have the ability to access Weapon Blueprints within DMZ. The unique thing about Weapon Blueprints is that they aren’t permanently lost after death. Instead, if you are killed in DMZ and have a Weapon Blueprint attached to your body, the Blueprint will be temporarily unavailable.

General Overview – All Modes

Chat with Proximity

Proximity chat will be available for both Battle Royale matches and DMZ matches. Proximity Chat can be crucial in DMZ to make sure assimilation runs smoothly. Proximity Chat in Battle Royale is the best way to have a discussion with your Gulag partner about strategy before you start dueling.

Strongholds, Black Sites

Strongholds: First team that reaches a Stronghold must eliminate all hostiles and destroy a bomb by the time the clock expires. They will then earn the Loadout Crate, a UAV-ping and the item within.

Three Strongholds can be activated in Battle Royale at the beginning of each Circle Collapse. For access to one of the many Strongholds available in DMZ operators must locate a key from within the map.

Black Sites Only available in Battle Royale the Black Site can be completed. It is an even more difficult version of Stronghold with tough enemies including a Juggernaut boss. A permanent Weapon Blueprint is rewarded to those who complete Black Sites.

Vehicles

Combat vehicles get a major upgrade Warzone 2.0 – Call of Duty. You can choose from a variety of vehicle options for transporting you across the land, sea, or air. You can choose the right vehicle for your task by considering its Operator capacity as well as armor rating.

ATVs, UTVs, Hatchbacks, Chop Tops, SUVs, Tactical Vehicles, Hummer EEVs, Light Helo’s, Heavy Choppers, RHIBs, and Armored Patrol Boats are some of the common vehicles operators will come across. When dealing with specific vehicles Operators are able to take multiple actions, such as reaching out to the windows and firing their guns, changing seats or climbing up onto the roof. You can blow out tires and knock down doors to take vehicles off the road.

Energy and health: Fuel reserves appear as a meter alongside the vehicle’s damage and passenger counter at the bottom of the HUD. Gas Stations or Gas Cans can either be used to refill fuel. So plan ahead.

Vehicle damage can be repaired. You can also repair tire damage on land vehicles by hand interfacing with each one to replace them. Gas Stations can also fix damage to vehicles.

Get Station 2.0

You can purchase custom weapons, gas masks, killstreaks, armor, and other items at Buy Stations with the money earned during the match. You can buy your lost squadmates in Battle Royale; you can also sell unwanted gear from your Backpack in DMZ for additional cash.

Questions

After defeating the enemy player in squad-based mode you can now interrogate the person, briefly looking at their location via the minimap and the outlines (like the Snapshot Grenade) If the interrogator’s distance from an enemy is greater than 10 meters, the effect will dissipate.

Note that the person being interrogated can also call for help, marking the interrogator’s position on the map, so think before rushing in to interrogate fallen enemies.

Aquatic Combat

Operators can swim in rivers and open water as part of their strategies. An Operator cannot use Sidearms and small melee weapons underwater. Throwing knives are not allowed.

Other than Killstreaks, certain lethal or tactical equipment items also has special properties in water. Proximity Mines for instance, which float above the water surface, are a threat to enemy vessels.
