Even More Modern than Before

Modern Warfare II has a Gunsmith that allows you to swap weapons more easily and offers more customization possibilities. New gameplay features are available to players as they play, such as water combat, swimming, strategic sprints, mantling and dolphin dives. The vehicle’s gameplay is also upgraded with new actions and destruction options.

Outside of the core competitive multiplayer, you can also go to war in third-person playlists and two-player Special Ops co-op missions. Following launch, Modern Warfare II players can expect a new experience: Raids, bringing 3v3 matches with a focus on team communication and coordination beyond anything that has appeared in the series to this point.

Infinity Ward, Activision and Activision also use Ricochet Anti-Cheat. This is an integrated, unified system that prevents cheaters from entering your matches. This system is built into the experience, meaning the anti-cheat team at Ricochet will have more power to ensure a level playing field.

A New Warzone Emerges

Activision’s Warzone 2.0 is an update to Call of Duty: Warzone. After the game became a hugely popular battle royale videogame in 2020 and surpassed 100 million players in mid-2021 Activision plans to increase the number of gamers who play it. Activision describes this free, open-to-all upgrade as a continuation of Warzone’s success. It has completely redesigned many elements of Warzone in “the most ambitious Call of Duty release”. Many of the modern Warfare II advancements, such as the Ricochet Anti-Cheat, have been incorporated into the engine. This makes Warzone 2.0 possible.

Warzone 2.0 will take place in an imaginary region called Al Mazrah in Western Asia. Players can now explore DMZ at launch. New to this iteration is a circle mechanic. Multiple circles can appear in order to alter end-game situations. A new A.I. is also available for players to interact with. This faction helps to make Al Mazrah more real, offering realistic combat scenarios as well as higher stakes combat encounters.

Gulag’s 2.0 version is now available. This allows players to take part in 2-v-2 battles, loot weapons, and redeploy their resources. The experience has been enhanced with social features that allow the community to interact in a more natural and enjoyable way.

Warzone Mobile

Going Mobile

Activision also announced that Mobile players would be able drop into Warzone wherever and whenever they want with Warzone Mobile. The new Warzone Mobile experience will come to iOS and Android in the next year. Warzone Mobile is specifically designed for iOS and Android to offer a powerful mobile gaming experience. It includes specific playlists, events and content that are optimized for smartphones.
