Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s Hardcore Mode Arrives In Season 2
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II has been receiving requests from players for a Hardcore Mode. It was absent at launch, and it is not yet available in the current game. Infinity Ward, the developer of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II has announced that Hardcore Mode will be available in Season 2 next month.
The news is coming just a few weeks after Infinity Ward announced some details regarding the upcoming season. These included Ranked Play and Resurgence in Warzone 2. New multiplayer modes, maps and weapons. Another change is that the Warzone 2.0 gulag will be a 1v1 battle, not 2v2. Also loot from warzone 2.0 fallen enemies will now float to the floor and not remain in a backpack. Although many of the changes were welcomed, the biggest update to Season 2 is Hardcore’s return.
You don’t need a HUD. There’s no problem. It’s back, hardcore!

Infinity Ward’s tweet announcing the news already has more likes – nearly double – than the rest of the tweets that reveal Season 2 information. While it is still unclear what Hardcore might look like in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, it seems that the game will retain the familiar Hardcore mode experience fans are accustomed to from previous Call of Duty titles. Hardcore is a more challenging deathmatch mode that has fewer HUDs, faster deaths and other features.
