Build Your Swamp In Toads Of The Bayou, A New Deckbuilder Hitting Early Access In 2024

Fireshine Games (publisher behind Lies of P. and Dredge) has announced Toads of the Bayou as a new tactical turn-based game for PC Early Access. 

Toads of the Bayou, the first title from La Grange (a French studio), is a strategy game that combines roguelike deckbuilding and settlement-building. The game features a group of toads searching for their home in deep southern swamps. You will need to fight the Baron Samedi to defend your settlement. As you progress, your toad tribe will grow, creating more powerful decks, building settlements and much more.

Alexandre Clement, La Grange’s game designer writes that Toads of the Bayou combines southern gothic spookiness with the sweetness of cartoon memories to create our unique take on the tactical turn-based genre. We wanted to help the player find their own place within this cursed world and to make them realize how much they had fought for and for what they stand for. The Bayou is not a place where you can be granted anything, so it is an achievement to thrive against the evil Baron forces. 

Early Access to Toads Of The Bayou via Steam will begin sometime in 2024.
