The dice represent your people, starting out as Peasant Dice and given general tasks they’re able to perform. Along the way, you’ll elevate them to different classes with specific functions, sacrifice them, forge new and empowered dice, and even ascend them for use in new playthroughs. While a dice roll is an iconic example of chance, you choose how they’re utilized, which faces to lock in, and tipping the chances for each die as you assign them a class.

In order to balance their happiness, you must protect and provide for your people as winter approaches and invaders attack your lands. Your domain’s expansion will cost resources and take decision-making, and both can come at the cost of your peoples’ happiness – ignore them at your own peril.

The first step in building your own domain is to build structures. These can range from simple cookhouses up until the strange concoctions created by the lab. The structures in your domain are designed to serve your domain. They begin by collecting basic resources, and then progress on to help you establish your kingdom. The resources you need to grow your kingdom and reach your potential will also become more rare and scarce as your population grows. The failure to manage them could spell disaster for your game, but you can apply the knowledge you’ve gained (and the dice that you ascended!) in the future.
