Breath of the Wild is still a classic Zelda, even with its sequel out

Tears of the Kingdom: The Legend of ZeldaIt is an amazing game and you will be tempted after playing it through to invalidate The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. Why would you play the old version when you can enjoy this remixed remake? There are many familiar characters and landmarks in this remixed version. TearsThis game features more enemies, Sky islands and Depths.

This is what I am asking: why must two queens with strong personalities fight each other? These two games would be better off if they were both played. Tears of Kingdom wouldn’t be nearly as good if I hadn’t spent so much time in Breath Of The Wild.

What I bought Tears of KingdomI was determined to avoid FOMO at all costs. After a few fumbling tutorial islands, I quit the game. By the time I made landfall at Lookout Landing, I could see a whole world out there to explore, but I didn’t have much desire. The Ultrahand was awkward, and I didn’t know who anyone was. And my greatest achievement was joining a pair of sticks together.

When I got back, Breath Of The Wild. In just a few short hours I was done with my homework and could have returned to Tears. I originally had played Breath Of The WildI’d already played the game for about half an hour. Instead, I found myself entranced. After completing the Master Trials and slaying all four Divine Beasts I found a gigantic horse. It was only after that I returned to Tears of Kingdom. I was having a great time.

You might think that I’d sated myself on Zelda thanks to all of that Breath-Instead of jumping, you should instead jump to Tears It felt like graduation. It was great to watch my friends become parents, achieve their goals, and grow. The feeling of returning to Lookout Landing was like coming home. I loved seeing characters like Purah or Sidon. Losing the Master Sword during the dramatic opening felt so much worse — I had just spent hours running trials to power that sucker up!

I also haven’t been participating in any of that Korok torture — none for me, thank you! You see, I’m not just a better person morally, but also I can remember all the friendly Koroks in the Lost Woods, who let me stay free of charge at their small tree-inn and sold supplies.

The games are all capable of being played on their own. Zelda’s emotional journey, captured in the memories Link finds throughout Breath Of The WildIt’s a complete story. There’s no “to be continued” or cliffhangers. Similarly, Tears of Kingdom has its own story arc told through flashbacks centered on Hyrule’s distant past. Despite all the similarities, each title is a unique experience.

It’s also interesting to see how Nintendo has changed the same familiar locations with just a few small tweaks. It’s interesting to see how Nintendo has changed the same familiar locations with just a few small tweaks. Hateno Village has become a fashion hotspot, while Hyrule Castle floats in the sky.

Breath Of The WildIt is a much simpler, more stripped down version of the original formula. Tears of KingdomIt is a great way to build on the original. But simpler isn’t worse; instead, I can see myself playing both games in the years to come. Growing up, I played The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of TimeLink is able to travel between two different time periods in this game. Jumping between two distinct time periods is a common technique. Breath Of The WildYou can also find out more about the following: Tears of Kingdom feels similar, and I don’t think the old Hyrule is obsolete due to the new one.

Over time, as Tears of Kingdom settles into the lineup and players have time to digest all of its twists and turns, I think we’ll likely see people come out in defense of Breath Of The Wild. There’s a simplicity to it that really shines, while Tears of KingdomIt can be a bit fiddly compared to other games. Zonai offers great tools, but multiple currencies can complicate the game.

There’s no need to toss Breath Of The WildThe rubbish bin Tears of Kingdom is a fantastic experience, but it doesn’t invalidate its predecessor. Playing them both makes for the best experience, and I can’t imagine a world where Tears of Kingdom It would be so exciting if Breath Of The Wild hadn’t cleared such a path through its own excellent design.
