Breath of the Wild 2 finally gets an official name and a release date

This is the sequel The Legend of Zelda – Breath of the WildFinally, we have an official release date. Nintendo unveiled Tears of the Kingdom: The Legend of ZeldaOn Tuesday at a Nintendo Direct presentation. Name of the The Wild Breath sequel had previously remained under wraps, as it “might give away too much,” Nintendo said. Nintendo Switch will release the game May 12, 2023.

A new trailer was also released by Nintendo Tears from the KingdomThis trailer shows Link flying through Hyrule’s skies in new ways. A June trailer, released during E3 2021 had featured Link flying through Hyrule’s skies, along with other new weapons and powers.

The Wild BreathThe follow-up announcement was made at E3 2019 and is highly anticipated. Released initially on Nintendo Switch and Wii U in 2017, The Legend of Zelda – Breath of the WildIt was hugely successful and sold over 25.8 millions copies. This game combined so many elements from the wider Zelda series, including special abilities, puzzle-solving and other classic Zelda features, yet it was able to do so in an open environment.

Instead of overwhelming new players with its vast map, Zelda’s action-adventure games managed to make Zelda followers feel at home and welcome them. Link’s climbing and gliding abilities made Hyrule a dream to explore — gliding around is particularly breathtaking — and the game’s many environmental regions, shrines, and collectibles made player efforts well worth it. The game is rich in lore and features a variety of enemy and friend designs. It also has robust cooking techniques.

The sequel will have a lot more. Nintendo already gave Link long and luscious locks. Now, I have one request. Please no breaking weapons.
