Black Desert: New Drakania Class Revealed

Greetings, adventurers! We are now under the control of The Destroyer Of Ynix! Drakania, the descendant Markthanan’s, is finally on her way! Black DesertAs its 24th grade. Here’s what we know so far.

Drakania is the Descendant from the Night Dragon Markthanan and she’s powerful and brutal. Drakania, like her Guardian counterpart has strong ties to her dragon ancestry. She has used all of her dragon rage in survival. Drakania is a delicate, metal-plated figure that reflects her Dragon heritage.

Drakania’s overall design is also enhanced by the addition of visual effects and lighting that simulate the flow of fire through her weapons and armor during battle.

Drakania’s Slayer is a two-handed greatsword that excels in close combat. While Black Desert has another greatsword-wielding class – Warrior – Drakania sets herself apart using a much slimmer blade based on a Zweihander or Flamberge.

Drakania is a master of a special sub-weapon known as the Shard. This Shard is her Slayer’s “heart” and can instantly be detached to attack enemies. While the Slayer is used for heavier, more devastating attacks, the Shard provides Drakania with quicker attacks that recharge her “Ion.” Ion is Drakania’s unique resource, which she stockpiles in her Slayer. While attacking with the Shard, Drakania charges up Ion – and when the Shard is returned to the Slayer, Drakania has access to much more devastating attacks!

Additionally, many of Drakania’s attacks create effects surrounding her that will help Drakania and her allies. Drakania’s area-of effect attacks are powerful tools. These can help group and drain enemies as well as remove debuffs from Drakania.

Drakania’s passive ability is “Markthanan’s Heart”, which activates when her HP drops to 50% or lower. Drakania can use this passive to recover her HP during attacks that produce Ion energy.

Drakania is a new take on greatsword combat. She combines quick punches that gather energy with powerful, high-impact attacks at full speed. In addition, Drakania’s passive allows her stay in fight while providing utility for her allies and destroying enemies. We can’t wait to see how you all enjoy the Destroyer of Ynix!

Drakania is part of the Adventure along with the launch of the new Season, May 25.
