Black Desert: Land of the Morning Light Is the Game’s Biggest Update Yet – And A New Starting Point

The launch day is finally here! We’re relieved, anxious, and excited for Black Desert ConsoleThe biggest game expansion since the launch of our console four years ago. This substantial expansion Land of the Morning LightXbox gamers can play the Xbox version of the popular PC game, released in June.

Explore the Land of the Morning Light

It is known for the vast region, its options in open world, and its active community. Black Desert ConsoleNow Adventurers can visit a new continent. The huge new area, inspired by Korea’s Joseon dynasty, is filled with breathtaking landscapes, intricately designed architecture, challenging bosses, and more. Through 80 cutscenes and 40 vignettes as well as 6,000 full-dubbed words, players will be immersed in a story inspired by Korean folklore.

Korean Folklore is brought to life
Adventurers will experience a narrative built around a mysterious plague that’s troubling the small port village. The storyline is woven together like chapters of a book, revealing Korean fables and tales that are rooted in reality. When players complete each chapter, they can revisit the storyline in the form of a ‘Storybook’, a recollection of major plots and events they have experienced during their playthroughs.

Characters from Korea’s most popular folktales are brought to life through this expansion, ranging from Sangoon, the furious tiger-like Mountain God, to Gumiho, the beautiful nine-tailed fox, to the virgin ghost, and more.

Boss Blitz Challenge: Enter Now!

Land of the Morning LightEach campaign ends with a unique, inventive boss battle. Each boss can be fought in a customized level of difficulty by players at all levels. Veteran players will enjoy the new “Boss Blitz” mode, which enables them to return to each boss on a new difficulty level (or Calamity Level), and to enter into a weekly ranking system based on character class.

Experience New Player Hub “Dalbeol”

The team created a number of historic sites in real life and recreated them to add authenticity and realism into the game. Dalbeol, a busy village, is filled with interactive NPCs ranging from musicians, to cooks, to hoteliers, to fishermen. Everybody has a tale to tell.

Explore Authentic Korean Locations

Pearl Abyss’s development team visited and studied 15 real-world locations and collaborated with 11 local Korean government agencies to re-create historical landmarks in-game. For example, Nampo Gate is based on Sangdang Sanseong Fortress while Shimnidae Forest was inspired by Juknokwon.

The New Travel Gear, Housing and Housing

Players of all levels, from newbies to veterans, can enjoy a range of enhancements to the quality of their lives. These improvements include powerful new gear and special items to improve every aspect of gaming. Highly desired items include “Dahn’s Gloves,” the “Belt of Taebaek”, special loot called the “Jewel of Illusion”, and the powerful “Deboreka Earring” among other coveted items.

The new structures are designed for large indoor or outdoor gatherings. This includes “Shimhyangje,” a spacious manor featuring generously sized rooms equipped with decorations and new traditional furniture, and spacious outdoor patios. Players who revel in sea-faring adventures will certainly enjoy the pleasure of crossing the sea on the newly revamped “Panokseon”. Although the boat looks like it was designed for war, the true appeal lies in its flexibility, which allows the vessel to carry a lot of crew.
