Bethesda Announces New-Gen Update For Fallout 4 Coming Next Year

Bethesda revealed today that Fallout 4 would receive an update in the next year. 

Fallout 4’s updated version will be available on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. This update will add performance mode features to increase frame rates as well as quality features for 4K resolution games. There will also be bug fixes and extra Creation Club content. Bethesda didn’t give a precise date but did say that the update would arrive sometime around 2023. 

Elsewhere in the 25th Anniversary blog post, Bethesda announced the return of Spooky Scorched, the limited-time Halloween event for Fallout 76. It will run through November 8. A new 25th Anniversary Challenge is also coming to the game. 

The blog posts states that players have the opportunity to visit the Atomic Shop every day between October 25 and November 8. They can also get a daily free item each day. These goodies include useful consumables that you can use on your next Appalachian adventure to new items. Make sure to visit the Store every day to view what is available. 

The Atomic Shop will offer the reward tomorrow, Tuesday, October 25, but it is not available online.

Fallout 76 also offers special challenges that can be completed to earn even greater rewards. An exclusive 25th Anniversary Bundle is available to active Prime Gaming subscribers. It will start November 2nd. It’s available until February 2, 20,23. You can also get Lunchboxes or Bubblegum. This package includes the Vault Boy portrait and Shooting Target Suite. Lincoln’s Repeater Lever Action Skin is included.
