It’s been a wild seven months since Back 4 Blood launched, and we’re so excited for today’s release of Tunnels of Terror, the game’s first downloadable content (DLC) expansion. New Cleaners, new Ridden, new unlockable skins, new cards, a new difficulty setting – this doesn’t even touch on all the features that are being rolled out, but let’s get into it a little bit, shall we?

Do you have the courage to take on the Ridden Hives together? Rumor has it the more risks you take, the more rewarding such exploration becomes – if you give into the temptation to proceed, that is. Do be warned, though, by venturing into these dark and strange tunnel-like formations beneath Evansburgh, you’ll face new Warped Ridden with never before seen attacks that definitely aren’t for the weak of heart. If you believe the Crusher is a troublemaker with privacy, then I have some news about the Shredder to help you understand why Holly doesn’t like free hugging.

Do you want to take on a new challenge? No Hope is our newest difficulty setting. It’s free to all Back 4 Bloodowner and creates an additional level of danger. It requires the absolute best in order to keep the blood pumping. If your deck needs some tweaks in order to defeat No Hope, there are new cards that can help you get the extra boost you need. Heng and Sharice, our two latest additions to the heroic Cleaners, also offer up some unique perks that you may find beneficial (and slightly reminiscent of piñatas).

Part of the Tunnels of TerrorRidden Hive is a new co-operative activity that allows teams up to four to discover seven labyrinthine tunnels beneath Evansburgh infested by Warped Ridden. You can also earn exclusive rewards for outrunning and defeating these enemies (including the monstrous Shredders, landmine-setting Urchins, and damage-dealing Rippers). The expansion also introduces two new playable Cleaners – Sharice, a firefighter, and Heng, a tough as nails, no-nonsense restaurateur, along with eight exclusive character skins, seven new legendary weapons, 12 new weapon skins, new cards, and more.

Back 4 Blood, a cooperative shooter by the makers of Left 4 Dead is thrilling. Your role is to lead a battle against the Ridden. The Ridden are terrifying parasites who once lived among humans and now seek to destroy civilization. The Ridden is threatening humanity and it is up to you, your friends, to defeat them and take back the world.

A cooperative campaign

In a 4 player, co-operative story campaign, you will fight to the death in an increasingly dangerous and dynamic world. You’ll need to work with others to complete more difficult missions. Online play is possible with 3 friends, but you can also go on your own and head your squad in battle.

Select from eight different Cleaners. You also have the option to choose one of 8 immune survivors. Defend yourself against an evolving enemy intent on total destruction.

Competitive Multiplayer

In PVP, you can play with friends or against them. Play as either a Cleaner or the horrifying Ridden. Both have their own unique abilities and weapons.

Extreme Replayability

You can create new experiences with the “rogue-lite Card System”. This allows you to roll custom builds, make your own decks, or take on more challenging fights.

The Game Director is constantly adjusting to player actions, ensuring exciting fights, extreme gameplay diversity, and tougher legions of Ridden – including mutated boss types up to 20 feet tall.
