Available Now: Windows 11 is Built for Gaming

Windows 11 is now available to all users worldwide. Windows 11 offers an entirely new Windows experience. Windows 11 can be upgraded for free on Windows 10 eligible PCs. Windows 11 pre-loaded PCs will also become available for sale. Windows 11 games can be played and looked better thanks to the superior graphics and incredible speed.

Windows 11 was designed specifically for gaming. It offers innovative new features to enhance your gaming experience. If you have an HDR capable display, Windows 11’s Auto HDR feature will automatically upgrade over 1000 DirectX 11 and DirectX 12 games to High Dynamic Range, rendering a much wider range of colors and brightness.

DirectStorage is also supported by Windows 11. This feature was introduced first on Xbox Series X consoles. DirectStorage-enabled games can have reduced loading times, and more expansive worlds when paired with an NVMe solid drive and DirectX12 GPU.

Windows 11 includes the Xbox App built in. This allows users to search, download and play more than 100 PC games through Game Pass PC (membership available separately). The timing couldn’t be better, as October kicks off the three biggest months in Xbox history, with incredible game launches including Age of Empires IVOn October 28 Forza Horizon 5 This was published on Nov. 9, Halo InfiniteOn December 8, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will get each of these games on the first day. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Members can play up to 100 Xbox console titles on their computer without waiting for the download.
