Attack on Titan Final Season Part 3 to air in halves as 2 long episodes

Attack on Titan’s final season is getting yet another weird breakup. NHK has announced this. Attack on Titan Final Season 3 will be split into separate parts, and won’t air in the standard format the show has had up until now. Each half of each season will instead be presented as an extra-long episode. These episodes will premiere on March 3.

The special, one-hour episode airing the first part of the series will premiere on March 3. Later in the year, the second half will air as an hour-long special episode. This is a condensed version of the decision. Final Season, Part 3Each half of the story will likely be its own independent story. This is quite a departure from other episodes in the last season. While many fans speculated and hoped that the show’s last few chapters would end up being adapted into something of feature length, this isn’t really what anyone was expecting.

This latest breakup of the show’s final season should (hopefully) be the last one. Attack on the Final Season, the series’ name for what would otherwise be season 4, started in December 2020 with Part 1. Debut of the second chapter was in 2022. Fans initially expected each of these to lead to the end of the manga, but instead, each one ended farther away than expected — and with a tease for another part.

A seven-part Omnibus Collection of Episodes will be available for new viewers who want to catch the whole series. It contains the complete story in an extremely condensed format. It’s set to begin airing on Feb. 25 and will conclude on Feb. 27.
