Arctic Awakening Gets Chilly New Trailer

The new first-person narrative title Arctic Awakening was revealed today. Kai is a cargo pilot on a routine supply delivery to Alaskan towns. Their plane crashes in the middle nowhere. Kai set out to rescue Donovan (the copilot) who is lost in the snowy and cold wastes.

Kai is the protagonist. You must travel the freezing wilds. The environment presents a constant danger. You will find a variety of things in the game that you might not expect in modern times. One example is a court-mandated therapy robot that goes along with your adventure. While the AI drone is able to provide a lot of useful tools and weapons, it has very little in the way in terms of providing commentary as you travel through the wild.

Arctic Awakening is more than just about exploration. It also focuses heavily on the narrative choices and how those choices affect the relationships and circumstances of characters. You can influence the end of the game by the choices you make.

Beyond narrative elements, GoldFire Studios is promising dynamic weather that shifts over time, meaning even areas you’ve visited already may be different when you return to them a second time.

Kai discovers more about the wilderness as he explores it. There are many high-tech technologies and other technological marvels that provide a terrifying sense of mystery.

Arctic Awakening will launch for consoles, PC and Mac sometime in 2023. The game will come in five chapters of 60 to 90 minutes that players can take at their own pace.
