Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’s trailer gives the DC hero a daughter

Aquaman’s 2018 blockbuster has been a very long time coming. Aquaman and Lost Kingdom, director James Wan’s upcoming sequel. Warner Bros has released the trailer to the much-anticipated film.

Lost Kingdom reunites the last film’s biggest movers and shakers with Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry, King of Atlantis; Amber Heard as Mera, his queen; Patrick Wilson as Orm, his brother betrayer; and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, his sworn nemesis. Even Dolph Lundgren, Nicole Kidman, and Temuera Morrison return as Mera and Arthur’s parents.

The trailer has a lot of sea life and jungle temples. There are also many-legged crabs and horses-sized seahorses. And wait… was that a water zombie? Did those guys look like coral? Is that a Jules Verne type? Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the SeaWhat is the contraption? So it seems that Wan has also retained the first flick’s commitment to maximalism.

Aquaman and Lost KingdomThe movie will be released on December 20.
