The series, which is told in real time, alternates between perspectives from passengers on the plane in question as well as a team counter-terrorism experts and negotiators who are working to safely intercept the plane. The flight is running out of fuel in seven hours, so both passengers on board and investigators at the airport will need to act quickly to rescue everyone.

Hijack The film features two main characters: Sam Nelson (Elba), an acerbic business negotiator who has a talent for finding creative solutions to difficult situations.
