Among Us Brings Space Murder To VR

Innersloth revealed that the wildly successful game Among Us will be going virtual in one of The Game Awards’ shortest reveals. This is right, you can voluntarily put on a helmet that simulates a crewmate and try to survive in the midst of a mad imposter. Oder, you might be the one who is able to stab your fellow crewmates as they attempt to grab that key card. 

While the VR video trailer did not show the full extent of the game’s redesign, it does appear that the 3D reimagining isn’t too far from Among Us’ minimalist design. It shows what it would look like for us to be standing in the Skeld while we try to enter a string of numbers into the keypad. The screen suddenly goes black and everything seems normal. The virtual world of Among Us seems to be ripe for jumping scares. 

Although the team didn’t share any more information about the title, Innersloth gave us some more details on their website:

The new 3D experience places you, our spacebeans suspiciously in the center of Skeld with all the core mechanics that you love and know about teamwork and betrayal. You can still enjoy the multiplayer experience with VR Edition! You can now! It is really Set up an emergency meeting. Note: The VR version of Among Us won’t work with other VR games, so it’s only possible to play against VR beans.
