Activision Blizzard Renames Overwatch’s McCree To Cole Cassidy
Activision Blizzard renamed Overwatch hero Jesse McCree Cole Cassidy.
Amidst California’s ongoing lawsuit against Activision Blizzard, which is occurring over reported toxic workplace culture, it was revealed that Jesse McCree, an Overwatch character was named for a Blizzard Veteran of the Same NameWho The company was closed in August. The Overwatch Team announced that the team’s hero, McCree, would be renamedThat’s why, as we move forward, Overwatch heroes won’t be named after real-life teammates. Today the team announcedCole Cassidy is now the new name for the Jesse McCree-born hero.
