A Starfield Direct Will Immediately Follow Microsoft’s Xbox Games Showcase This June

Microsoft announced that the Xbox Games Showcase in June will be immediately followed by a Starfield Direct “deep dive”. 

Earlier this year, the company showcased various games, including Redfall and the shadow-dropped Hi-Fi Rush, at an Xbox and Bethesda Direct in January. Microsoft announced at the time a separate Starfield Show was being planned to give the game “the proper time” for an in-depth look. Now we know the date: the 11th of June, immediately following the Xbox Games Showcase. 

Microsoft announced in another blog post that Xbox Games Showcase “will feature some new surprises and early looks” from “our incredibly talented studios internally and many of our creative partners worldwide,” and noted “this day is when gamers will see what comes to Xbox, PC, or Game Pass.” Microsoft invites you to the Starfield Direct. “You will learn more about Starfield with new gameplay and developer interviews as well as behind-the scenes information.” 

The Xbox Games Showcase starts at 1 p.m. ET on June 11th, 10 am PT. ET is scheduled for June 11, 2009. Microsoft blog posts that virtual and in-person FanFest will return this year, “with the opportunity to broadcast with local fan in Los Angeles and Melbourne and Warsaw.” 

Starfield is coming to Xbox Series X/S, PCs and PCs on September 6, 2023.
