A Plague Tale: Requiem Gameplay Premieres At The Game Awards

A Plague Tale Requiem is the sequel to 2018’s A Plague Tale Innocence. It made an unexpected appearance at E3 in June. The trailer was accompanied by a video, and tonight’s Game Awards gave us a glimpse at the gameplay. Surprise! There are rats. Numerous rats. 

Hugo, Amicia and Hugo embark on yet another dark mission. But the best part is that Amicia does get to work a lot harder this time. She’s gone from wielding just a slingshot and hiding in the shadows to firing crossbows in what looks to be more involved combat. The supernatural rat plague is still the main star, and makes the swarm appear more deadly (and visually stunning) than ever. 

Plague Tales: Requiem will be launched on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC in 2022. Xbox Game Pass is also offering it as a day-one launch.
