A New Threat to the World Begins in Overwatch 2: Invasion

“If it’s a fight they want, I’d say let’s give it to them.”

As a group of robots threatens to invade the planet, it’s up to an entirely new generation to rescue humanity. Starting August 10, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One will be able to answer the call in exciting Story Missions featuring many heroes in Overwatch 2. It is Overwatch 2’s biggest update ever – we’re calling it Overwatch 2: Invasion.

Overwatch 2 is Blizzard Entertainment’s free-to-play, team-based hero shooter set in an optimistic future, where every match is the ultimate 5v5 battlefield brawl. Jump into the action as a freedom fighter who can time jump, a DJ on the battlefield, or any of the other 30 unique characters. You will battle around the world in thrilling PVP battles or take part in the brand-new Story Missions that launch August 10th.

Overwatch 2: InvasionThe new update includes new story missions, new content, a core PVP game mode that is all new, a Support Hero, and new skills to improve your heroes’ abilities. And if you have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you’ll be able to unlock all Overwatch 2Heros when you choose the Overwatch 2 New Heroes Starter PackGame Pass Ultimate Perks was introduced at the beginning of Overwatch 2: Invasion10 August.

Story Missions – Rise of Null Sector

Overwatch was created after the Omnic Crisis. The Omnics are a sentient race. Overwatch has disbanded for years, but now there are new threats. Null Sector’s attack on Paris is stopped by Winston, Tracer, Mei and other heroes. But soon, the world will be under new threats.

Null Sector’s forces have the primary motive of destroying cities. They also kidnap Omnics to be used for unknown purposes. It will be up to the new Overwatch team to find out what their plans are and put a stop to them, but they’ll need help from both past allies and new faces alike if they hope to stand a chance. Take on the three Story Missions with friends, or online with other players. Overwatch 2. Stay alert to the threat of the Null Sector, which includes the Annihilators (powerful Annihilators) and Stalkers (deadly stalkers).

New Co-op Activities

In addition to Story Missions, you’ll be able to take part in a new bonus co-op mission on Kings Row. You’ll explore the King’s Row map, including all new areas not seen in PVP modes, as you guide the TS-1 push bot on a mission to save Tracer’s friend and the Omnic Underworld from Null Sector forces.

Increase the competition with Flashpoint

Launching in Also Overwatch 2: Invasionis Flashpoint, a whole new PVP core game mode that you’ll play in Quick Play or Competitive Play. The mode features two new locations, which include Overwatch 2’s biggest PVP maps to date!

Teams will fight for control of key positions across the map called “Flashpoints,” aiming to capture three of them before their opponents do. Things move fast – there won’t be any relaxing once a point is captured, as the next one is already waiting to be captured as well. This mode will not only test your gamepad skills, but also your ability to think ahead to stop your opponents from moving to the next Flashpoint.

Learn New Skills

Whether you are brand new or a veteran player, we’re introducing new ways to play and practice your favorite heroes. The new Hero Mastery Mode features training courses that are tailored to each hero. Each course will test your skills using that hero’s abilities and weapons and feature global leaderboards to showcase the top-performing hero masters across the world. Overwatch 2: InvasionWe will launch our first course for selected heroes. More courses are to follow in the future.

A brand new shooting range is available to help you improve your aim and improve the performance of any hero. It includes dozens practice settings, as well as multiple targets.
