It’s Your First Run

The starting heroes of Dark Quest 3There are four heroes: barbarians, dwarves, archers, and wizards. Your hero upgrade allocation will have a major impact on your progress. You should start by putting a point to one of the dwarf’s barrels. You can perform a second action.

Monsters are attracted to the barrels and will begin attacking them.  The closest monster, the one with lowest health and highest, or those who are in a straight line, will be their preferred target. This barrel still has to follow these rules.

A barbarian’s throwing axe can be used as a form of free ranged assault. You should put the point in there as soon as possible.

After the Archer comes his surprise attack. When a fight begins, the archer will fire at a random opponent. The attack is enhanced by all modifiers and equipment.

Finaly, you’ll need AOE. Wizard lighting storm, one of the best cards, will help you kill many opponents when you reach high levels.

General Strategies

• Don’t waste re-rolls on unimportant events. Accept it if a hero is poisoned or takes 1 damage. Re-rolls should be saved for events that have a greater impact, like losing a character for several turns or severe damage.
• To gain the advantage, always play secondary actions in combat first.
• If you waste your re-rolls it’s only a matter of time before a dice roll will kill you.
• Make sure your heroes don’t have low health, you can’t control 100% what will happen in battle or during the cards. You should be prepared to die if a hero’s health is 1-3. Save your charges if heroes’ health drops to critical levels.
• It is important to unlock new heroes. Many locked heroes can lead you easily to victory.

Heroes

Barbarians: They are a good hero who can do a great deal of damage, and take hefty damage.

Dwarf: The best hero to keep enemies busy with barrels and keep your party out of harm’s way.

Archer is one of the heroes who deals the most damage in a single strike. Has an underrated card that allows you to completely dodge an attack.

AOE strong and utility cards. If you line up your enemies, a lightning storm or tornado can kill many enemies all at once. Do not underestimate the wizard’s default attack in conjunction with his invisibility card. It is important to use his magic resistance towards the end of the game.

Lancer: The first hero who can summon a “pet”. It is important to note that the extra character always appears at battle’s start, making him a useful meat shield. When you combine the break armor with a spear that can hit two enemies at once in line, it can cause havoc.

Prince:  This hero allows you to command an ally or enemy to attack another enemy. It is one of most powerful cards. The prince can easily get an attack damage boost by having ranged allies surrounding him.

The Savager is a powerful hero who can wipe out an entire board in a single move. You can give many points for bloodthirsty to make the Savager attack automatically when it kills monsters.

Lady: A powerful defensive hero. Her passive cards are the only ones that can heal your party. Her divine shield prevents all damage.

Druid: This character can summon two “pets”. The large bear can attack multiple opponents and the smaller fox will deal high damage on a single enemy. You can transform into a tree if your group needs extra defense. Your other heroes will deal with the last blows.

Dwarf King: This hero also has a “pet” to help soak up some damage. A passive card allows him to call an ally in to help when he takes damage from his enemies.

Knight: The knight, like an archer at battle’s start can use Charge to automatically attack any enemy with the least health. Follow Me: If an enemy is still alive, his card will summon an ally who can attack this target. The hero is indeed very powerful.

Fire Mage: A deck of magic cards that deals devastating damage and can summon a companion anywhere on the field.

Close Notes

A party that is good must include high-damage dealers, ways of absorbing damage while not getting injured and AOEs for combat with multiple enemies. Bring your dice and your luck as you face off against the magic of the sorcerer.
