A 10-Year Wait: The Excitement of the Superbike World Championship Returns with SBK22

Milestone is back on the SBK franchise and it’s quite the news! The Superbike World Championship is an important part of Milestone’s history.

We first started working on the title back in 1999 when the company was only three years old, and this game was also the first “bike” Milestone created.

2010 SBKX marked a great success and an important turning point in the Milestone’s history.

Personally, I feel a strong connection to the SBK games. They are what drew me to Milestone as a young designer. I eventually became the Lead Designer. SBK Generations“, and is now one of the mainminds behind our new title SBK22.

SBK22 has the spirit of our old SBK games with all the Milestone’s know how and updated technologies, the perfect recipe to achieve a game that truly represents today’s Superbike World Championship and the state of art of the motorbike simulation. The game is made in Unreal Engine and includes several technological innovations such as the Milestone’s Neural AI System, Weather Simulation, a faithful engine sound system, the Milestone’s signature handling system and much more.

Technology is not the only thing that makes games or racing, but people are the basis for them both. We had many helpful conversations with champions in the sport of Superbike riding, Bautista and Rea as well as Razgatlioglu, the current champion. SBK bikes are built from the best production bikes and were designed to race like ultimate machines. SBK22Our players can experience the true feeling and behavior that these racing beasts offer.

When we approach a sport we have our own philosophy. We applied the Milestone methodology that was based on the accurate and real representation of the actual sport. That is why we are SBK22The championship will be mirrored with the same sessions as pre-race and Tissot superpole, along with the circuit and the teams. It’s also possible to live a challenging career experience in which players create they own story inside the Superbike championship starting from the bottom to race their way up to the top, with also the possibility to make their independent team and win with it.

SBK22We made it accessible to all types of players, our goal was to make the sport enjoyable and authentic. The World Superbike Championship is for those who are serious about the sport. Others might enjoy more moderate stimulation while engaging in thrilling battles with their heroes.

It is a great pleasure to return to the SBK paddock. Our fans have asked us for this since years and we know that our fans will enjoy the experience as much as we enjoyed developing the game.
